Ulsoor is one of the oldest suburbs in Bangalore, located just a few kms east of MG Road. A residential area majorly home to local Kannada speaking folk and a large number of Tamilians. It is named after the famous Ulsoor lake which is believed to have been built by Kempe Gowda II way back before the British rule.
This place today, is very popular for its vaarious temples, Gurudwaras and the Chinese bell on the Kempe Gowda Tower. Its close proximity to places like Indiranagar and Domlur is the reason, a lot of people reside in this region and also flock to the place for weekends. You can expect to see some plush and bunglows and lavish apartments in its lanes. Oweing to a large and diverse population in and around the area, the area houses a number of cafes, restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and other such shops.
