This entire region is a trekkers paradise with numerous trails ranging over the grass-covered hills interspersed by thick evergreen forests. Due to the perfect environment, the National Park is home to tigers, leopards, gaurs, bears and deer. Three life-giving rivers of Karnataka – Tunga, Bhadra, and Nethravati, originate in the Kudremukh National Park.

Deciduous trees can be found in abundance here and the forests are comprised of more than a hundred species of trees including teak, rosewood, mathi and kindal.
