Falling under Vishakapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Lambasingi is a great place to beat the heat. Snow usually tends to fall here during winter time as temperatures swoop to as low as 0 degrees. Also having dense forest areas, this place makes for a great destination to escape to and enjoy the hill station way of life. Lambasingi is proudly known as the ‘Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh’ and rightfully so, it holds up to its name.

Vagamon is a really cool place to visit, as it’s practically a small plantation town with super awesome views and even better weather. This place is also known for the sport of paragliding that they provide here. It is also famous for the awesome treks that the hills of Vagamon provide to people that are inclined towards that sort of thing. From Cochin, Vagamon is only 75 km away, so do give this place a visit!

Found in the district of Thiruvananthapuram, Ponmudi is a boon for sore eyes. A good peaceful hill station in the Western Ghats, Ponmudi is a great place to travel to via preferably a bike, as the road leading to the hill station has a lot of curves and turns that riders would absolutely enjoy. About 60 km away from Thiruvananthapuram, this place is a must visit if you want to see what the hill stations of the south can prove to be.

  1. Kolli Hills – Tamil Nadu

A pretty quiet and calm place to chill out at, the ride to Kolli Hills is also a great one for bike riders, as they provide mind-melting hair-pin bends that makes taking this trip to Kolli Hills all the more fun! When you’re there you could head out and visit the Agasagangai waterfalls or visit the nearby temples as they are pretty awesome too.

Falling just before Wayanad, Lakkidi has some awesome scenes to offer to the traveler. Being a hill station, it’s got a lot of great things to do while you’re there like trekking and sight-seeing, as well as being close to Wayanad, it gives people access to the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, which is great for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.
