Bajaj is celebrating this World Motorcycle Day by starting two official biker groups for their Pulsar RS 200 and Avenger customers. Named the Pulsar Maniacs and The Avenger Gods (TAG), the first is exclusively for Pulsar RS 200 owners while the latter is open for owners of any Bajaj Avenger model. A member of these groups will be able to participate in organised rides supervised by a professional safety expert, necessary riding equipment and service/emergency support.
Following the likes of Royal Enfield and KTM who organised such groups a while ago, Bajaj has also discovered riding groups to be the best way to interact with their customers. Speaking to NDTV, Mr. Sumeet Narang , VP Marketing, Bajaj Auto said, “The group riding phenomena is taking off enormously, however a large section of customers stay away from it because of safety considerations. As the market leader in the sports segment, we are committed to keep abreast of customer trends. We have now put in place all the required infrastructure to enable Pulsar RS 200 and Avenger customers to experience the fun of group riding in a safe and professional way.”
Bajaj Auto has selected 7 metros for their inaugural group rides – Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The list of activities for the clubs consists of weekend breakfast rides and occasional long distance trips.
The Avenger Gods will also include the Feel Like God (FLG) club, which is an earlier bikers group started by Avenger enthusiasts. The TAG will organise long distance trips to destinations across India. Their first ride is scheduled for 23rd June and will involve 15 Bajaj Avenger owners riding from Chandigarh to Tirthan valley and back.
