Launched In India: The Brutal Brutale 800

The 72-year-old Italian bike manufacturer MV Agusta, finally brings its second 800cc bike to India from its naked-bike Brutale series. Calling it the Brutale 800, this was one bike that enthusiasts couldn’t be more happy to see brought to the country. For a company that is known for its super-cool designs and more than flawless performance, the Brutale 800 is just that in a nutshell.

MV Agusta’s Brutale 800 bike houses a 798cc inline 3-cylinder engine which gives a whopping max power output of 109bhp @11500rpm and 83Nm @7600rpm of max torque output. Boasting a top speed of 237km/h, it does an amazing 0-100 km/h in only 2.8 seconds. This is one ride that speed-freaks would love to catch.

Sporting a gorgeous head and a beautifully crafted body, the all-new MV Agusta Brutale 800 is nothing short than a bike owner’s dream. Being closely similar to its previous models in looks, there have been slight changes however to the fuel tank and the exhaust pipe. Carrying with it an 8-level traction control, ABS three-step intervention, a slipper-clutch and engine braking control, makes the bike an enjoyable 800cc powerbomb.

Set out to compete against bikes like Kawasaki Z900 and the Triumph Street Triple, the Brutale 800 seems to fall short when it comes to the pricing. Placed on the market at a price of Rs 15.59 Lakhs, a significantly higher pricing of around 7 Lakhs more than its competitor, the Brutale 800 will have a hard time persuading buyers from the competition if it was for price alone, however, the performance and design do seem to make up quite a lot for it.
