The final destination is the Tashiding Monastery, located atop a heart-shaped hill with the Mt. Kanchenjunga providing a scenic backdrop.
Gangtok to Lachung
For most people, Gangtok is the only place that comes to mind when Sikkim is mentioned. But this state has a few other hidden gems, one of which is Lachung and the Yumthang valley. Lachung is a quaint riverside village located 24 km before the Yumthang Valley. This journey has the snow-capped Himalayas as a constant background and the Yumthang Valley is absolutely stunning. The entire valley is covered in an expanse of greenery and is home to a staggering number of flowers that bloom during the summer and which cannot be found anywhere else in India.
