At times it’s the rider who makes the bike while at others, it’s the bike that makes the riders. In some cases however, both the bike and the rider complement each other perfectly to make a kickass combination.
To get you excited for the Comic Con that is to be held in Delhi from 4th to 6th December, we at Wheelstreet have come up with a list of the 10 most badass bikes used in superhero movies and TV shows.
#1 Batpod | The Dark Night
The best movie of the world’s favourite superhero, The Dark Knight was an absolute masterpiece from Christopher Nolan. When Joker destroys Batman’ car the Tumbler, everyone’s dissapointment quickly turned to uncontainable glee when a bike ejects from the wreck of the car. The Batpod, a bike with cannons and a crazy turning mechanism, was then used by Batman to topple a truck and apprehend the Joker (for a while atleast) in one of the most memorable scenes from the movie.
#2 ’63 Harley-Davidson DuoGlide | X-Men Origins:Wolverine
Hugh Jackman has rarely looked more badass than he did riding a 1963 H-D DuoGlide FLH as Wolverine in X-Men:Origins. Watching him dodge tracer bullets and ultimately destroy a helicopter on his bike made that much more awesome.
#3 Hell Cycle | Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider is a character whose powers are centered around his bike, aptly named Hell Cycle. It’s a massive machine made of bones, steel and engulfed in flames and was frankly the only reason most of us managed to sit through the 2 Nicholas Cage movies.
#4 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R | Robocop (2014)
A reboot of the 1984 classic, the latest Robocop movie wasn’t well received by the audience or the critics. They did however, manage to give the the human-cyborg hybrid police officer one of the coolest bikes ever seen on the big screen: a modified version of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R complete with sirens and red DRLs to perfectly complement its rider.
#5 Harley-Davidson FatBoy | Terminator: Judgement Day
The 2nd and the best movie of the Terminator franchise, Judgement Day had Arnold Schwarzenegger racing around on a 1990 Harley-Davidson FatBoy while rescuing John Connor from the evil T-1000. The Harley Fat Boy suits the the Terminator perfectly and as such was even featured on the movie’s posters.
