Royal Enfield Squadron Blue is a special edition version of the Classic 500. It was specially designed to pay tribute to the Indian Air Force. Like all other RE bikes, it lives up to its name. Bike hiring has made it pretty easy for RE lovers to pick up bikes on rent, so all those willing to take the Squadron Blue for a ride can do so by getting the two-wheeler on rent.
The matte blue color and the chromed components make the Squadron Blue’s old-school looks and its retro looks even more appealing. Those who wish to show their love for the Indian Air Force can take the Royal Enfield Squadron Blue 500 on rent from a Wheel Street without having to bear the pocket burning expenses.
The WW II design has been kept intact in Squadron Blue 500 but it is offered as a single-seater and in a single paint scheme. Except for the paint scheme, the design and model is exactly the same as that of the Classic 500. The tough war look makes and the soothing colour make Squadron Blue 500 even more appealing than the other models.
Powered by a 500cc single-cylinder engine it generates a power of 27bhp and 41Nm of torque through a five-speed transmission. This air-cooled engine comes with a Keihin electronic fuel injection system to offer better fuelling.
The bike has a fuel tank of 14.50 litres capacity and gives a mileage of around 18-20 kmpl. The bike has also been provided with an electric start.
Equipped with 280 mm disc brakes in the front and 153 mm drum brakes at the rear end, the braking efficiency is similar to other models of the Classic 500. Large halogen headlight provides great illumination even in the most challenging light conditions while the thick tyres provide it a tough road grip.
