Honda Shine has a 124.7cc, air-cooled, four-stroke, SI engine coupled to a four-speed transmission system that is further linked to wet multi-plate clutch. The engine generates power of 10.54bhp at 7,500rpm with a peak torque of 10.54Nm at 5,500rpm. Equipped with an easy electric starter, it becomes east to start without applying the kick.
CB shine has 130mm drum brakes at the front as well as rear and has been given an optional 240mm disc brake at the front to enhance braking. Optional Honda CBS (Combined Braking System) allows the rider to apply both the brakes while only pressing rear brake pedal. The suspension system of the bike has telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic type shock absorbers at the rear.
