Mahindra has Duro with great features, making the company come back in competition with its rivals. The new updates in 2012 gave a superior, powerful 125 cc engine to Duro which provides better instant pick-up and multi-terrain acceleration, suitable for the Indian terrain. Bike rentals offer Duro on rent to scooter love
With a Dual Curve Digital Ignition System, Advanced Telescopic Suspension, 125 CC engine and vibrant colours Duro has gained the much needed popularity among youth and has brought back Mahindra as a strong contender in the Indian two-wheeler market. You will easily find the two-wheeler on rent if you wish to hire a scooter.
Duro has a very macho and eye-catching looks. The front face accommodates long sized blinkers that seem like wolf's eye, horn rimmed headlight, rear view mirrors, front mudguard and handlebars. The headlight has a clear vision and illuminates the road well at night. The instrument cluster of the Duro is analogue and comprises fuel gauge, speedometer, odometer, upper beam indicator and indicators lights. The Duro DZ offers spacious storage capacity with a lockable glove compartment under the handlebar a large under-seat compartment and a bag-hook though the scooter lacks a mobile charger and external fuel-filler. Two lights are fitted in the under-seat storage space to allow you see clearly even in the dark. Duro primarily aimed at mature buyers who want a no-nonsense character in their daily ride. It is available in Royal Purple, Derby Red, Supreme Silver, Pearl White, Fiery Black, Cappucino Brown and Mystique Gray shades.
The powerful 124.6cc mill belts out 8 bhp of power at 7,000 rpm and churns 9 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm, equipped with a CVT transmission. Mahindra has been equipped with both electric and kick starts. With the help of its power engine, the vehicle managed to achieve a top speed of 80 kmph and can pick up the speed of 0-60kmph in just 12.1 seconds. The large 7 liter fuel tank lasts pretty long as the scooter delivers a mileage of 45-48 kmpl.
The gearless scooter sports telescopic shock absorbers at front and hydraulic type fork at the rear end and has been equipped with 130mm of drum type brakes, good enough for the 125 cc machine. Wide tyres and wheelbase help the vehicle to balance it in any speed
It is not a fancy scooter thus it lacks disc brakes and ABS though the drum brakes work fine for it and broad wheel base provides much road grip.
