Day 1 Manali
We will come pick you up at the Kullu Airport or the bus station and drive you to your hotel. Our representatives there will provide you with all the services and soon you’ll be introduced to the bikes and the Team, who will tell you all the details about the tour. Get ready to ride, explore and discover while learning how to survive in the Himalayas! Go-Pro Cameras on your helmets, riding gears, Royal Enfield Bikes, let’s start riding around Manali valley!
Day 2 Manali- Jispa
On this day we start our ride along the mighty Beas River through several charming villages. We will cross the 4050 m Rohtang pass, the first and lowest of the main passes. There you will enjoy the view while atop, from where you can see the snow clad peaks of Lahaul Mountains that contrast with the Buddhist prayer flags. Following our road to Keylong, you will surely note the solitude of the region. Strange, exciting, primitive, mountainous and delightful, Keylong, stands out an oasis of greenery in the district among the white and brown mountains. Lahaul and Spiti have hardly changed with time. People still live the way they used to earlier and strongly believe in conserving nature. Valley, river, mountains and the green landscape makes Keylong an exciting picturesque destination for bikers and apart from its amazing landscape, the vicinity of Keylong also offers several places, temples, monasteries and bazaar which are worth visiting. After a full day of amazing discoveries and explorations, we’ll spend the night in the peaceful village of Jispa.
Day 3 Jispa - More Plains
Leaving the ‘last permanently inhabited point’, we are ready to enter into the pure Himalayan wilderness. We’ll ride on a torturous zigzag shaped uphill road that lies in the shadows of the hanging glacier to Baralach La (4900m). At Lachulung La, you can see incredible natural sculptures built by the wind blowing through the rocks of a canyon that reminds one of Arizona. We enter in the More Plains on a long, wide and straight road. The More Plain is home to many species of animals like the Tibetan wild ass or kiang, wild horses and marmots. If you are lucky, you can even spot the Changspa nomads camping in the surreal landscape of the More Plains. Flanked by beautiful mountains on both sides, this area is a major attraction to the Bikers heading towards Leh from Manali. This huge ‘top-of-the-world’ plateau presents a landscape unlike anything else on our journey. Uninhabitable area, with no construction and no population.
Day 4 More Plains – Leh
Let’s start our ride towards Leh! We follow an endless strip of asphalt loops that look like they are scratched into the cliffs before reaching Tanglang La,5330 m, the world’s second highest motorable pass. From there, we start our descent which will lead us to our main destination: Leh.
Day 5 Leh(Local sightseeing)
On this day we will take a short break from the long ride to see more of Ladakh’s main sights. India’s ‘Little Tibet’ was highly influenced by the presence of Singge Namgyall, the greatest king of Ladakh, who decided to open the famous trade route to Central Asia. In 1974 the region was opened for visitors and since 2002 it has a substantial number of tourists. Nowadays, Leh is the most important town and the capital of Ladakh region. With 27,513 inhabitants and an altitude of 3524m, the town tripled its size in the last two decades and became a focal point for sightseeing. In addition to its many cultural places and monuments (Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Mosque, Namgyal Tsemo Gompa) mostly influenced by Tibetan architecture, you will find great enjoyment losing yourself in the small charming narrow streets.
Day 6 Leh-Khardung-La Nubra Valley
From Leh, we are ready to explore the fabulous Nubra Valley, a high altitude cold desert (about 3028m altitude) with rare precipitation and scanty vegetation. On the road, we will travel over Khardung La pass listed in the Guinness World Records as it is 5602m high! The world's highest motorable pass. After taking a breath, we start entering into the Nubra Valley where you will be impressed by the incredible diversity of landscape. Snow-capped peaks, Rocky Mountains full of surprising contrasts and colors, and at its base, sand dunes, bordered by an abundant vegetation. You will enjoy visiting the Diskit Monastery which has the 35 meters tall statue of Maitreya Buddha, go swimming in the Nubra River, riding on the backs of camels or just taking a walk in that unusual surroundings.
Day 7 Nubra Valley-Pangong Lake
We begin our trip to Pangong Lake. We will start early in the morning to ride to Pangong Lake. With a size of 700 km², a depth of 100m and an altitude of 4350m, Pangong Lake is also called the ‘long narrow enchanted lake’ by the Tibetans. Although its water is salty, the lake freezes completely in winter. We will stay there for one night, camping in the middle of one of the most beautiful landscape in the world!
Day 8 Pangong Lake- Karu
We Start Our journey towards Karu After crossing the 3rd highest Pass in the world, Chang-La. (5360mts.)
Day 9 Karu - Tso Moriri Lake
Be ready for this masterpiece! With a depth of 105m and a size of 120 Km², this lake is located at an altitude of 4595m and is the largest of the high altitude lakes in the Trans Himalayan bio-geographic region, entirely within India. The captivating color of the lake surrounded by majestic mountains, the incredible fauna and flora will make you feel like you are in a veritable heaven upon Earth. This place is so peaceful that after sunset, you can only hear your own heartbeat or the roar of a snow Leopard!
Day 10 Tso Moriri - Tso Kar - Sarchu
We begin our journey towards Tso Kar Lake, a fluctuating salt lake situated at an altitude of 4530m. It is known for its size (22 km²) and depth (95m) but also for its incredible birds and diversity. After appreciating an immense and sumptuous panoramic view showing nature at its best, we take the road again towards Sarchu, (also known as Sir Bhum Chun), a major halt point with tented accommodation.
