This tour starts off in the charming old-world town of Siliguri, before heading northward into Bhutan. Once in Bhutan you will head for the valley town of Paro through Phuentsholing. The ride will then take you to Trashigang via the scenic and thrilling roads of Thimphu, Gangtey and Bumthang. Once in Trashigang, you will head back into the borders of India and travel to Guwahati, which is the end of your tour.
Arrival at Siliguri
On Arrival at Siliguri Airport our representative will arrange a transfer to the hotel. Check in to Hotel and after some leisure it’s time to check the Bikes. In the evening meet for the group orientation, an introduction of all the group members from different areas briefing about the road conditions and the weather. Overnight at hotel in Siliguri.
Siliguri to Phuentsholing
After breakfast at Siliguri, drive to Phuentsholing. The drive especially after Salugara, a small Bhutia and Gorkha dominated bazar on the outskirts of Siliguri, is smooth over well carpeted road. After crossing the cantonment the roads get narrow and curvy as we pass through thick dense forests to reach the gateway of Bhutan and finally reach The Land of Thunder Dragon, Phuentsholing city, Bhutan. Phuentsholing is the point of entry for travelers, the town functions primarily as a place where Bhutanese and Indians do business. Overnight at hotel.
Phuentsholing to Paro
After breakfast complete the immigration formalities ( If it not Completed on the day of arrival at Phuentsholing ) and ride towards Paro. On the way to Paro, One can visit the beautiful Gedu University and Rinchending Monastery, we reach Paro and settle down in the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Paro to Tiger Nest to Paro
This morning after breakfast we Hike to Paro Taktshang / (Tiger Nest). Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche, who brought Buddhism to Bhutan in the eighth century flew to a cave in Taktshang spot on a tigress and mediated for three months. On a clear day, enjoy a splendid view of the Bhutan’s sacred mountain, Mt Jomolhari. En route visit the Kichu Lhakhang, which is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in the 7th century. Paro to Haa to Thimphu
After breakfast ride to Thimphu via Chele La Pass and Haa Village. Thimpu the capital city of Bhutan. As we start from Haa to Thimphu we ride via fertile plains of Paro and great views of rich farms of terraced rice fields. All along you ride parallel to the Paro River and then the Thimphu River. Upon reaching Thimphu we settle down in the hotel. We head to get our Visas and road permits extended. Be free to explore the city with its many cafes, bars, and curio shops. Overnight at Thimphu
Thimphu to Punakha to Gangtey
After breakfast ride to Gangtey, this is 170 kms from Thimphu. After Crossing Punakha, we depart for central Bhutan through the tropical vegetation at Nobding. Ride comprises of cruising through patchy mountains with hairpin loops and curves. Throughout your trip you will come across the beautiful sceneries of rural Bhutan, with scattered settlements far from the road. Night Stay in Hotel.
Gangtey to Bumthang
After breakfast we will start our ride to Bumthang. Bumthang has an individuality that charms its visitors and separates it from other regions. The road is initially flat but the descent is marked by muddy roads where reconstruction/ widening of roads is underway. The landscape then breaks open into the beautiful Chumey valley. Comprising of four smaller valleys namely Tang, Ura, Choekhor and Chumey, the deeply spiritual region of Bumthang is shrouded in religious legends. Night Stay in Hotel.
Bumthang- Local Sightseeing
Bumthang is also the traditional home to the great Buddhist teacher Pema Linga to whose descendants the present dynasty traces its origin. After breakfast explore Local Bumthang, Visit; Jakar Dzong: It is located on a ridge above Jakar town in the Chamkhar valley of Bumthang. It is built on the site of a temple established by the Ralung hierarch Yongzin Ngagi Wangchuk (1517–1554) when he came to Bhutan. Night Stay in Hotel.
The journey from Bumthang to Mongar is one of the most beautiful in the Himalayas crossing 3780mtrs high Thrumshing la (pass). Gushing waterfalls, steep cliffs with even steeper drops, blazing flowers and constantly changing vegetation combine to make this journey as varied as it is beautiful. Mongar marks the beginning of Eastern Bhutan.
Mongar to Trashigang
After breakfast ride to Trashigang, There is much to see on today’s ride and many photo opportunities that you will find a fairly long time on the road. Over night at Trashigang.
Trashigang to Guwahati
The ride today marks the last day of Bhutan and before we bid goodbye to the beautiful country, it offers us a few more surprises. After reaching Guwahati one can visit the Local markets. Overnight at Hotel.
Guwahati to Hometown
Finally after such a refreshing ride through so many dense forests, passes and the god gifted country, we head back home.
