Itinerary
Day 1 BAGDOGRA AIRPORT – DARJEELING (TRANSFER ON OWN ARRANGEMENT)
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Darjeeling (7100 ft / 110 kms / 03 hrs) on your own arrangement. Arrive & Check in at the Hotel. Test ride of the bikes in the afternoon. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel
Day 2 DARJEELING –PHUENTSHOLING 180kms/6.5 Hrs
Morning after breakfast ride to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan. Finish your entry formalities and check in at Hotel. Free Evening Overnight at Phuentsholing.
Day 3 PHUENTSHOLING– PARO 174kms/7 hrs
Morning after breakfast ride to Paro (Alt 7300 ft/2230M). Check in at Hotel. Overnight at Paro.
Day 4 PARO – THIMPU (2737m) Via CHELELA PASS & HAA VALLEY 180 Kms 06-07 hrs
After breakfast ride to Thimpu via Chele La Pass 3900 meter. The views at the summit are amazing and worth the effort to travel from Paro. The Haa Valley is set at an altitude of about 9,000 feet in western Bhutan. Just opened to outsiders in 2001, the Haa region is pristine and holds a wealth of traditional culture. It was for many centuries the centre for trade between western Bhutan and the Chumbi Valley of Tibet. Arrive Thimpu and check in at Hotel. Free Evening, Overnight at Thimpu.
Day 5 THIMPU– PUNAKHA (1220m) 75kms 2-3 hrs.
Morning we ride to Punakha, the old capital of Bhutan. We will ride over a pass (Dochula 3314mtrs) La in Bhutanese means pass. There are 108 chorten called “Druk Wayel Chorten” with colorful prayer flags surrounding the area. With Her Majesty Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck’s initiative, these chortens were built to honour His Majesty the 4th Druk Gyalpo and his people for their victory in the war that was fought in the southern region of Bhutan in the year 2003 and for the benefit of all the sentient beings. If the sky is clear this provides the best place to see and take photos of the snow capped mountains. Dochula café is located not very far from the main Dochula view point. Arrive Punakha and check in at Hotel. Later do the sightseeing of Punakha and Wangdi.The valley of Punakha and Wangdue are warmer compared to Thimphu. There are also more paddy field in these two valleys compared to Thimphu valley. Punakha and Wangdue are only about 30 minutes ride away from each other. River rafting is mostly done in this region. Punakha is the winter residence for the central monk body and also it used to be the capital of Bhutan. Free Evening, Overnight at Thimpu.
Day 6 PUNAKHA – GANGTEY VALLEY (3480m) 86 kms 2-3 hrs
Morning ride to Gangtey Valley. Towards the east of Wangdue Phodrang lies the old Gantey Gompa dating back to the 17th century. The construction of the Gompa was prophesied by Terton (Treasure revealer) Pema Lingpa. A few kilometers past the Gompa, on the valley floor is the village of Phobjikha. This is the winter home of black necked cranes that migrate from the arid plains in the north to pass their winter in milder and lower climate.
Day 7 GANGTEY – THIMPU 74 Kms/2-3 Hrs
After breakfast checkout and ride to Thimpu and check inn to Hotel. Overnight at Thimpu.
Day 8 THIMPU – GORUMARA 239 Kms/4-5 Hrs
After breakfast checkout and ride to Gorumara – well known for the sturdy one horned rhinos and bison. From the watch tower you can see the vast grassland of Gorumara where the wild animals graze freely in their natural habitat. Arrive and check in at the hotel. Overnight at Gorumara.
Day 9 After breakfast checkout and ride to Gorumara – well known for the sturdy one horned rhinos and bison. From the watch tower you can see the vast grassland of Gorumara where the wild animals graze freely in their natural habitat. Arrive and check in at the hotel. Overnight at Gorumara.
After breakfast checkout and ride to Darjeeling via Mungpoo. Arrive Darjeeling and check in at the hotel. Evening will be at leisure Overnight at Darjeeling.
Day 10 DARJEELING– IXB(BAGDOGRA AIRPORT)(TRANSFER ON OWN ARRANGEMENT)
After breakfast checkout and take your vehicle for Onward Destination (Own arrangement)
