Overview

The journey begins in the sprawling yet beautiful city of Guwahati in the state of Assam, then it will take you to one of the wettest places in the country, Cherrapunji and promptly take you to Shillong. You will then travel to Itanagar by heading up the mountains via Bhalukpong, after Itanagar, you will ride toward the tranquil beauty of Ziro before heading toward the state of Nagaland via Dapo, Along and Pasighat. Once at Mon village, you will rest and rejuvenate before heading to Kaziranga in Assam and end your journey where you began, in the beautiful city of Guwahati.

 

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival at Guwahati
Arrive at Guwahati Airport and our team member will welcome you and lead you to the hotel. Check in at the hotel have leisure for some time and then there will be a reunion of all the members where group Formation & briefing will be organized. In the evening if anybody wants, one is free to take a tour of famous Kamakhaya Temple.
Day 2 Guwahati to Cherrapunji via Shillong
The first morning of our Adventure every rider is excited to start his way out. Shillong is also known as the “Holland of the East” located in the state of Meghalaya. Enjoying and moving on the motorcycles through the Umiam Lake which is also known by the name of Barapani Lake in Meghalaya, the major attraction. At Shillong we will spot the local places for the Elephanta falls, Don Bosco Museum, Polo ground, Lady heardy Park, Shillong Peak, and Shillong Church. As we start with up with our motorcycles we again find good roads but at some time it can be wet due to the rains and the weather conditions keep changing while driving to Cherrapunji. Reach Cherrapunji and settle down. Overnight at Cherrapunji
Day 3 Cherrapunji Local Sightseeing
Morning alarm is on. Today we will ride to explore the rainiest place Cherrapunji local places. We will start with the beautiful scene of Nokhali falls. We will the visit Seven Sisters Falls, Mosmai caves, Shivlinga and double decker bridge. Here the riders will have the most adventurous and challenging tasks of riding on the bridge made with roots, but the bridge is so strong that it can carry 50 or more people at a time.
Day 4 Cherrapunji to Bhalukpong
We reach the check gate where our permits will be verified, this is the best place to tank upon Petrol, water etc. From here on we will be riding along the Kameng River which is one of the main feeders of the mighty Brahmaputra.
Day 5 Bhalukpong to Itanagar
Today morning after our leisure we will head for Itanagar, it is the capital of Arunachal with well connected roads. Overnight at Itanagar
Day 6 Itanagar to Ziro
Today morning we will follow the ride to spot some of the local sightseeing in Itanagar like the Itanagar Museum, Naharlagan local market, and drive through Nishi tribal village. Covering all this we will move on for Ziro. Overnight at Ziro. While proceeding to Ziro we will pass through many dense forests and narrow roads.
Day 7 Ziro to Dapo
As we proceed for Ziro we would come across lots of different cultures and tribes of people. Ziro is the headquarter of lower Subansiri District. This plateau is located above 1560m and is surrounded by the mesmerizing Apatani Tribal villages on all sides, enjoying the tagin villages, local traditional houses. We proceed for Daporijo.
Day 8 Daporijo to Along
The journey of the tradition and culture does not end here, as we pass by on the motorcycles we will come across new tribes, new cultures with older tradition. On the way we enjoy the kabu dance, hanging bridge, orange garden. Situated in the picturesque valley at the confluence of the Sipu and Siyom Rivers, Along includes the Ramakrishna Mission Campus, Patum bridge, Bagra village, Darka village, Donyi Polo dere temple, The Kamki (25 km from aalo) hydropower dam, or the Mithun and Jersey Cross breeding farm, and orange orchards, you can also go rafting down the Siyom River. The hanging bridge on the Siang River is another must see. The bridge is locally made, of cane and bamboo. The bridge is around 60-70 m long.
Day 9 Along to Pasighat
As we pass we will get a mix of good tarred single and double lane roads and also roads in depleted conditions. You will be passing though unending forests and different Adi tribes until you hit Pasighat from where you will be in Riverine areas. Eastern Arunachal is the home of the three big rivers that are the main tributaries forming the Giant Brahmaputra. The roads from Along to Pasighat is quiet narrow and sandy. Finally we land at Dibrugarh, by hooking our bikes onto ferries.
Day 10 Pasighat to Dibrugarh
Pasighat is connected with road and have frequent services from Guwahati, Lakhimpur or Itanagar. Waterways crossing river Brahmaputra from Dibrugarh by ferry to Oryamghat that is situated at a distance of 32 km from Pasighat. En route to Dibrugarh you will also pass through the Tea Estates that Assam is so well known for. It’s a city well known as 'Tea City of India' in the state of Assam. City roads in Dibrugarh are well built and smooth.
Day 11 Dibrugarh to Mon, Nagaland
Early morning wake up, as we leave Dibrugarh we will ride through the small town in Assam, Sivsagar. Nagaland is made up of numerous tribes who have been termed as the Nagas. The state is a hilly place with altitude variations. We will be riding through the region inhabited by the Konyak tribe the district is bounded by the Brahmaputra River on the north, Nagaland on the south, the Dihing River on the east and the Jhanji River on the west. The Sivasagar district has got its definite identity due to its different races, castes, languages and cultures. After this we will proceed for Mon district is the northern most district of Nagaland. It is bounded by the state of Arunachal Pradesh to its north.
Day 12 Mon Local Village Visit
Today we will spent our whole day in Mon on the motorcycles to spot the local sightseeing in Mon Lungwa King House, Singi Sui, Head Hunting, Local Market, Myanmar Border, Tribe Dance
Day 13 Mon to Kaziranga
Early morning we start our bikes to the last but not the least, Kaziranga. The first 120 km ride would be tough as we would find some roads under construction and passing through the narrow roads of the dense forests, but as we ride ahead we will get single lane roads. The main attraction of Kaziranga is the National park in Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam and the flora around. We will enjoy the safari ride. Overnight at Kaziranga
Day 14 Kaziranga to Guwahati
The Final wake up alarm calls the riders to bid farewell to all the fun and adventure of North East and restore the memories of the beautiful places and the journey with our team members.
Day 15 Guwahati to Hometown
We will depart from Guwahati to our respective homes with memories which we will cherish till our lifetime

  • Riders below 21 are not allowed
  • Do not carry suitcases
  • People with back/neck/heart or other major issues should avoid the tour
  • All Passport and Visa requirements must be made before the border crossing
  • The cost is calculated with 6 riders, under/above this number, the package cost might increase/decrease
  • There will be no cancellation taking place, unless WheelStreet cancels the trip. In case of such an incident, WheelStreet will make sure the rest of the process is handled smoothly.
  • Non Refundable Amount -Rs.5,000
  • From 60 to 45 days before commencement of the tour- 25 % refund
  • From 45 to 30 days before commencement of the tour - 50 % refund
